Vibra® Cow Mat – a comfortable, non-slip stable and lying mat

The Vibra® Cowmat is a robust stable and lying mat for animal husbandry, particularly for cattle farming. Its softer hardness rating of 55 ± 5 Shore A, compared to technical mats, ensures a comfortable, yielding surface that protects the animals’ joints and makes it easier for them to lie down and stand up. The profiled surface has an anti-slip effect and provides a secure footing, whilst the mat is also easy to clean. Typical areas of application include cubicles, walking and standing areas, as well as general barn and livestock housing areas.

Product description

The Vibra® Cowmat is a robust stable and bedding mat for livestock farming, particularly for cattle farming. Its softer hardness rating of 55 ± 5 Shore A, compared to technical mats, provides a comfortable, springy surface that is gentle on the animals’ joints and makes it easier for them to lie down and stand up. The textured surface provides a slip-resistant finish and offers a secure footing, whilst the mat is also easy to clean. Typical applications include cubicles, walking and standing areas, as well as general barn and livestock housing areas.

The mat is made from a tried-and-tested NR/SBR industrial-grade rubber with good mechanical properties as well as good abrasion and impact resistance. Mechanically, it offers a tensile strength of 3 MPa (approximately 30 kg/cm²) with an elongation at break of 200 % and a soft, comfort-oriented hardness of 55 ± 5 Shore A. The operating temperature range is from –20 °C to +70 °C.

When using this product, please note that it is a standard grade designed for mechanical applications and is not intended for prolonged contact with oils, fuels, acids or solvents. However, it is ideally suited for use as a comfortable, non-slip stable and resting mat.

With a density of 1.5 g/cm³ and a black finish, the Vibra® cow mat is robust, durable and easy to maintain – available as a pre-cut mat or as a bespoke solution for your barn.
