Carbon footprint of Vibraplast AG
CO2 balance as the basis for Vibraplast AG's climate strategy
Vibraplast AG's carbon footprint makes our greenhouse gas emissions transparent and helps us to reduce emissions, conserve resources, and consistently implement our environmental goals within the framework of ISO 14001 certification.
We have calculated the direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions generated by Vibraplast AG's activities using the company's corporate carbon footprint. The footprint forms a central basis for our climate strategy, as it identifies and quantifies the most important sources of emissions within the company and along the upstream and downstream value chain. This allows us to identify specific potential for reducing emissions and minimize future climate-related risks.
A significant risk for companies with high greenhouse gas emissions lies in increasingly stringent regulatory requirements. While environmental reporting was long mandatory primarily for large corporations, new EU regulations — such as those introduced under the Green Deal and supply chain legislation — are gradually extending reporting obligations to medium-sized enterprises as well.
Sustainability, particularly in the area of climate protection, is therefore becoming increasingly strategic for Vibraplast AG. The regular preparation of our greenhouse gas inventory not only helps us optimize processes and improve energy efficiency, but also enables savings in resources and costs. At the same time, we are preparing our company for a long-term transition to a low-carbon economy.
Furthermore, our CO2 balance forms the foundation for our targeted ISO 14001 environmental management certification. Upon request, we are happy to provide our CO2 footprint report as a PDF.
