CO2 balance as the basis for Vibraplast AG's climate strategy

The carbon footprint of Vibraplast AG shows our greenhouse gas emissions, helps us to reduce emissions, save resources and achieve ISO 14001 certification.

We have calculated the direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions caused by our company's activities using Vibraplast AG's corporate carbon footprint. The carbon footprint forms an essential basis for Vibraplast AG's climate strategy, as it identifies and quantifies the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions within the company and along the upstream and downstream value chain. This makes it possible to identify potential for reducing emissions and mitigating future climate-related risks for Vibraplast AG. One such risk for companies with high greenhouse gas emissions is the increasingly stringent statutory emissions regulations. While environmental reporting was only mandatory for large companies for a long time, new environmental legislation in the EU (e.g. the Supply Chain Act and the Green Deal) means that reporting requirements are now also being extended to SMEs.

The issue of sustainability, particularly in the area of climate protection, will therefore become increasingly important for Vibraplast AG in the medium term. Regularly calculating the greenhouse gas balance in our company not only helps us to optimize processes and improve energy efficiency, but also enables us to save on resources and costs. In addition, we can strategically prepare our company for a low CO2 economy in the long term. Furthermore, the CO2 balance forms the basis for our aspired ISO 14001 environmental management certification. We can provide you with our CO2 footprint balance as a PDF on request.
