Whirlpool bearing for the purpose of structure-borne sound decoupling

When a whirlpool tub is used or filtered, noise emissions are generated that can be perceived as disturbing. If the hot tub is installed on a terrace or balcony, care should be taken to ensure that any vibrations from the pumps are not transmitted to the balcony and into the house.

1

Choose the right storage solution

A Sylomer insulation panel with a thickness of 12.5 or 25 mm under the pool will absorb these vibrations. Depending on the substructure of the hot tub, a full-surface or strip bearing can be used. With the maximum load and the support surface, we can determine the right type of Sylomer for you.

2

Avoid sound bridges

The Vibra 3D rubber granulate mat is another solution for eliminating annoying whirlpool noises. The surface should be prepared to be level over the entire base area of the pool. The water must be able to drain away. If the hot tub is partially or fully sunk into the ground, it must not be in contact with the walls, otherwise the sound will be transmitted again.
