Our CR/SBR rubber sheets combine the proven properties of chloroprene rubber (CR, also known as neoprene) and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). This blend delivers an exceptional balance of weathering resistance, mechanical stability, and ageing resistance. While the neoprene offers high ozone and UV resistance along with good chemical resistance, the SBR component adds abrasion resistance, load-bearing capacity, and dimensional stability. The result is a versatile material suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

A key advantage is that we offer these sheets in Shore hardnesses of 50, 65 and 80 A. This allows the material hardness to be optimally adapted to the specific application. The softer variant at 50 Shore A is particularly elastic and flexible. It adapts excellently to uneven surfaces and is therefore ideal for seals or applications requiring a damping function. The 65 Shore A grade offers medium hardness, providing a balanced combination of stability and flexibility—a true all-rounder for a wide range of industrial applications. The hard 80 Shore A grade is particularly dimensionally stable and durable, making it suitable for surfaces subject to high pressure loads, heavy abrasion or intense mechanical stress.

In addition to the variety of hardness grades, the CR/SBR sheets impress with their excellent mechanical properties. They exhibit high tensile and tear strength, remarkable elongation at break and only minimal permanent deformation under sustained stress. This ensures they retain their functionality even under dynamic conditions. Their temperature range extends from approximately –25 °C to +70 °C, and can even reach around +90 °C for short periods, meaning they can be used reliably even in fluctuating climatic conditions.

Additional benefits include resistance to weathering, ozone and UV radiation. While many standard rubbers quickly become brittle when used outdoors, CR-SBR rubber sheets retain their elasticity and functionality over long periods. They also offer resistance to oils and greases, further expanding their range of applications.

Processing the sheets is straightforward: they can be easily cut to size, die-cut, glued or machined. This means they can be used both as large-area mats and protective pads, as well as precisely manufactured seals, flange washers or moulded parts.

Typical applications include seals and sealing profiles for outdoor use, protective mats in workshops and production halls, vibration-damping elements in machinery and plant, and technical components in vehicle and equipment manufacturing that must be both robust and weather-resistant.

Delivery form

Rubber rolls are supplied as continuous rolls as standard, but can be cut to size and finished entirely according to your specifications, drawings or technical requirements.

In addition to simple strips or cut-to-length sections, we also manufacture precision injection-moulded parts, CNC-cut profiles and complex rubber-metal components that are precisely tailored to your application.
