CO2 footprint as the basis for the climate strategy of Vibraplast AG

The CO2 footprint of Vibraplast AG makes our greenhouse gas emissions transparent and helps us to reduce emissions, conserve resources and consistently implement our environmental objectives within the framework of ISO 14001 certification.

With the CO2 footprint (Corporate Carbon Footprint) of Vibraplast AG, we have calculated the direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions generated by our company’s activities. The footprint forms a central basis of our climate strategy, as it identifies and quantifies the most significant sources of emissions within the company as well as along the upstream and downstream value chain. This enables specific opportunities for emission reduction to be identified and future climate-related risks to be minimised.

A key risk for companies with high greenhouse gas emissions lies in increasingly stringent legal requirements. Whilst environmental reporting has long been mandatory primarily for large companies, this reporting obligation is being gradually extended to medium-sized enterprises as well through new EU regulations – such as those under the Green Deal and the Supply Chain Directives.

Sustainability, particularly in the area of climate protection, is therefore becoming increasingly important for Vibraplast AG in strategic terms. Regular preparation of our greenhouse gas footprint helps us not only to optimise processes and increase energy efficiency, but also enables savings in resources and costs. In addition, we are preparing our company in the long term for a low-CO2 economy.

Furthermore, the CO2 footprint forms the basis for our intended ISO 14001 environmental management certification. On request, we will be happy to provide you with our CO2 footprint report as a PDF.
