Foam packaging for drones

The protection of your flying drone and the associated drone accessories is essential for flawless operation in the respective area of use.

We recommend our customised foam packaging inserts made of PE polyethylene (e.g. Plastazote), PUR polyurethane (e.g. nap foam, Silphon) or flat foam for your high-quality and impact-sensitive flying drone.

The foam packaging in a drone backpack or in a drone box made of plastic or aluminium can be adapted to protect against moisture and weather influences.

Vibraplast AG also offers a wide range of robust transport crates in various sizes and formats with additional features such as waterproofness, convenient carrying handles, sturdy closures, etc.

What costs can be expected for drone foam packaging?

The price depends on the size and density of the insert. For custom-made drone foam inserts measuring L: 400 mm x W: 300 mm x H: 400 mm, the price including construction costs is CHF 250.

A two-tone, welded PE foam insert can also be ordered for an additional CHF 25. The drone foam inserts are machined using special milling tools. If several identical inserts are required, the unit price is reduced by 50% from an order quantity of approx. 2 units compared to the single unit price. The design and production time for a single insert is usually 10 working days.

What information do we need for production?

The more information we have, the easier it will be to prepare the data. The following formats and details are helpful:

Drawings in PDF format, DXF or STEP files
Shadow-free photos of the objects to be inserted with at least one reference dimension (we can provide grid light tables for photos.)

If none of the above data is available, it is possible for the tools to be sent to us for measurement. In the case of an on-site measurement at the customer's premises, we would have to charge for the additional work involved.
