Sound insulation of ventilation ducts - inside and outside

Melamine foams Basotect® G+ with various surface laminations are flexible, open-cell foams made of melamine resin, a thermosetting plastic. The high sound absorption capacity and safe behavior in the event of fire favor melamine foams for use in many ventilation systems and sound absorbers.

The combination material Teroform® plastic heavy layer with a PUR foam layer is another effective means of soundproofing ventilation ducts. The duct or ventilation pipe is encased in Teroform® and thus insulates the flow noise.
