CR/SBR rubber sheet (50 Shore A)
Chloroprene rubber sheet, 50 Shore A – elastic and dimensionally stable
The chloroprene rubber sheet with a Shore A hardness of 50 is a versatile material for general sealing, cushioning and protective applications. Its medium-soft consistency makes it particularly adaptable: it compensates well for unevenness and tolerances whilst retaining its shape. Typical applications include mechanical and plant engineering, building services engineering and general industrial sealing tasks.

The chloroprene rubber sheet with 50 Shore A is a versatile material for general sealing, cushioning and protective applications. Its medium-soft setting makes it particularly adaptable: it compensates well for unevenness and tolerances whilst retaining its shape. Typical applications include mechanical and plant engineering, building services engineering and general industrial sealing tasks.
The sheet achieves a minimum tensile strength of 40 kg/cm² (approximately 3.9 MPa) with an elongation at break of at least 200 %, a compression set of no more than 40 % and a tear strength of 18 kg/cm – solid figures for applications involving elastic stress. The temperature range is between –30 °C and +90 °C.
Important for material selection: This grade is designed for elastic, mechanical applications and is not intended for prolonged contact with oils, acids, alkalis or solvents. Those requiring a more chemically resistant sheet would be better served by our premium chloroprene grade (65 Shore A).
With a density of 1.45 g/cm³ and a black finish, the sheet is easy to die-cut and process – available by the metre and as custom-cut sheets.
