Vibra® Honeycomb Mat – perforated rubber mat with a honeycomb structure

The Vibra® honeycomb mat (Ringmat Honeycomb) is a robust rubber mat with an open, hexagonal honeycomb structure for demanding flooring and anti-slip applications. As with the Ringmat, the operating principle is based on the open-perforated structure: dirt, water, liquids and shavings fall through the honeycomb cells, ensuring that the walkable surface remains dry, clean and slip-resistant. The elastic structure also provides shock absorption and relieves strain during prolonged standing. The hexagonal honeycomb geometry gives the mat a particularly uniform and stable structure. Typical areas of use include entrances, wet and splash areas, kitchens and catering establishments, workshops, industrial workplaces and high-traffic passageways.

Product description

The Vibra® Honeycomb Mat (Ringmat Honeycomb) is a robust rubber mat with an open, hexagonal honeycomb structure designed for demanding flooring and anti-slip applications. As with the Ringmat, the operating principle is based on the open-perforated structure: dirt, water, liquids and shavings fall through the honeycomb cells, ensuring that the walkable surface remains dry, clean and slip-resistant. The elastic structure also provides shock absorption and relieves strain during prolonged standing. The hexagonal honeycomb geometry gives the mat a particularly uniform and stable structure. Typical areas of application include entrances, wet and splash areas, kitchens and catering facilities, workshops, industrial workplaces and high-traffic passageways.

The mat is made from a tried-and-tested NR/SBR industrial-grade rubber with good mechanical properties as well as good abrasion and impact resistance. Mechanically, it offers a tensile strength of 3 MPa (approximately 30 kg/cm²) with an elongation at break of 200 % and a comfortable, medium-soft hardness of 50 ± 5 Shore A. The operating temperature range is from –20 °C to +70 °C.

When using this product, please note that it is a standard grade designed for mechanical applications: it offers moderate resistance to alkalis and ageing, but is not intended for prolonged contact with oils, fuels or acids. However, it is ideally suited for use as a perforated anti-slip and dirt-trapping mat.

With a density of 1.2 g/cm³ and a black finish, the Vibra® honeycomb mat is robust, durable and easy to maintain – available as a pre-cut mat or as a bespoke solution.
