SI/MVQ rubber silicone sheet
SI/MVQ silicone rubber sheet – durable, flexible and extremely temperature-resistant
The SI/MVQ silicone rubber sheet is a high-temperature-resistant elastomer grade for technically demanding sealing, insulation and structural applications. These smooth sheets are manufactured without reinforcement and, thanks to their special raw material formulation, offer an exceptionally wide range of applications – from sub-zero temperatures to applications subject to high thermal stress. With a hardness range of 55–65 Shore A and a density of 1.2 g/cm³, a good balance is achieved between elasticity, deformation stability and dimensionally stable contact pressure. Particularly striking is the extremely wide temperature range from –60 °C to +230 °C – significantly wider than that of most standard rubbers. This allows this silicone grade to be used in applications that are technically no longer feasible for conventional EPDM, SBR or NBR sheets.

Particularly striking is the extremely wide temperature range from –60 °C to +230 °C – significantly wider than that of most standard rubbers. This allows this silicone grade to be used in applications that are technically no longer feasible for conventional EPDM, SBR or NBR sheets.
In industrial applications, this material proves particularly effective for seals, low-vibration mountings, mechanical enclosures, thermally stressed housings and components in air conditioning/heating systems, analytical instruments or electrical assemblies. Its electrical insulation properties are excellent, making it suitable for electrical engineering as well as laboratory and machine components. Tensile strength is 5 MPa and elongation at break is 250%, delivering a robust yet flexible material performance. The compression set is 30% / 24 h / 150 °C – an indicator that the long-term resilience is maintained even under sustained thermal stress and that sealing surfaces do not ‘fatigue’.
The material’s resistance properties complete its technical profile: it is highly resistant to oxygen, ozone and UV, making it ideal for outdoor applications, exposed visible areas or exposure to light/radiation. Resistance to alkalis is limited; oil and petrol are not recommended – this is typical of silicone chemistry, but often plays a minor role in thermal applications. The thermal conductivity is 0.24 W/m·K—lower than that of engineering plastics, which is desirable for thermal insulation effects.
The sheets are available as rolls, strips or cut-to-size pieces—precisely to customer specifications. Thanks to stock availability, production and delivery can be arranged at short notice.
Delivery form
Rubber rolls are supplied as continuous rolls as standard, but can be cut to size and finished entirely according to your wishes, drawings or technical requirements.
In addition to simple strips or cut-to-length sections, we also manufacture precision injection-moulded parts, CNC-cut profiles and complex rubber-metal components that are precisely tailored to your application.
