Noise control pipe silencer inserts as a wedge system with melamine foam made from Basotect® G+
The duct sound attenuator inserts made from Basotect® G+ melamine foam form a flexible and highly efficient wedge system for reducing airborne noise in duct and ventilation systems. They serve to significantly reduce sound propagation in ventilation and air-conditioning ducts, thereby enabling noticeably quieter operation of ventilation, air-conditioning and extraction systems. The open-cell structure of the melamine foam ensures excellent broadband attenuation properties, reliably reducing both low- and high-frequency flow noise. This makes the system ideal for applications such as building services, industrial plants, laboratories, office and administrative buildings, medical facilities or residential complexes, where high levels of sound insulation and pleasant acoustics are required.

They serve to significantly reduce sound propagation in ventilation and air-conditioning ducts, thereby enabling noticeably quieter operation of ventilation, air-conditioning and extraction systems. The open-cell structure of the melamine foam ensures excellent broadband attenuation properties, reliably reducing both low- and high-frequency flow noise. This makes the system ideal for areas such as building services, industrial plants, laboratories, office and administrative buildings, medical facilities or residential complexes where high levels of sound insulation and pleasant acoustics are required.
The wedge elements can be inserted directly into round or square duct sections with minimal effort, without the need for additional hole covers. This saves time during installation and allows for retrofitting into existing systems. Basotect® G+ is also flame-retardant (tested in accordance with DIN 4102 and EN 13501), resistant to ageing and temperature, and particularly lightweight, making the material ideally suited for use in building services. Thanks to its excellent microbial and hygienic properties, the wedge system can also be used in sensitive areas such as food production, the pharmaceutical industry or cleanroom technology.

Delivery form
The pipe silencer inserts in the wedge system are supplied as standard as wedge-shaped elements made of melamine foam in the form of a wedge stack or block. On request, custom-cut pieces or fully ready-to-install modules are also available, tailored precisely to your pipe diameters and duct geometry.
