Natural rubber sponge rubber – highly absorbent, elastic special material
This sponge rubber made from NR natural rubber with a density of 160 kg/m³ is a medium- to coarse-pored, open-celled and soft-elastic material characterised by excellent abrasion resistance, high elasticity and a remarkably high water absorption capacity. The open-cell structure enables rapid and effective liquid absorption, whilst the material remains deformable, compressible and capable of returning to its original shape once the pressure is released. This makes sponge rubber ideal for processes in which liquids need to be specifically absorbed, distributed or wiped away.

This sponge rubber made from NR natural rubber with a density of 160 kg/m³ is a medium- to coarse-pored, open-celled and soft-elastic material characterised by excellent abrasion resistance, high elasticity and a remarkably high water absorption capacity. This makes sponge rubber ideal for processes in which liquids need to be specifically absorbed, distributed or wiped away.
Its universal range of applications makes this natural rubber sponge a particularly versatile technical foam. It is frequently used in labelling and pressure rollers, in the production of pipe cleaning balls, as a pressure or pressing medium in printing and coating processes, as padding and pressure material in industrial manufacturing, or for applications where the combination of flexibility, absorbency and abrasion resistance is crucial. Thanks to its natural material properties, it is both pleasant to the touch and flexible to process further, for example by cutting, punching or converting into function-specific moulded parts.
