PU ether foam – antistatic

The antistatic PU ether foam in the distinctive colour pink has a density of 20 kg/m³ and has been specially developed for the safe packaging and storage of electrostatic-sensitive devices and components. Thanks to its ESD (electrostatic discharge) properties, the material prevents uncontrolled electrostatic discharges that can cause permanent damage to electronic components. This makes the foam ideal for printed circuit boards, sensors, assemblies, measuring instruments, electronic assemblies or other sensitive components that require reliable protection during transport or storage.

The open-cell, PU-ether-based foam is lightweight, elastic and very easy to work with. It can be cut, milled, punched, contoured or bonded, enabling the production of precise protective packaging, trays, interlayers or moulded inserts. Due to its structure, the foam also offers good shock and vibration absorption, which significantly reduces the risk of mechanical damage. Its ease of handling makes it the ideal choice for both standard packaging in electronics manufacturing and for individual, custom-made protective solutions.

Vibra® antistatic PU ether foam is available as standard sheet stock in multiple thicknesses or can be custom-manufactured as a precision-cut blank or a fully assembled molded component. This enables the material to be tailored precisely to specific applications and delivers a high degree of process reliability when handling sensitive electronic components.
