Basotect® UF+ is an ultra-flexible, open-cell melamine foam based on thermosetting melamine resin, used wherever exceptional adaptability is required. Basotect® UF+ is an ultra-flexible, open-cell melamine foam based on thermosetting melamine resin, used wherever exceptional adaptability is required. Thanks to its extreme elasticity, it adapts effortlessly to narrow gaps, irregular surfaces and highly curved shapes. This makes it an ideal solution for complex applications such as in rail transport, HVAC systems or modern building services engineering.
With a density of only around 7 kg/m³, Basotect® UF+ is one of the lightest technical foams available, which not only makes it easier to work with but also reduces energy consumption during transport and installation. At the same time, the material impresses with its outstanding acoustic and thermal properties: the open-cell structure efficiently absorbs sound, reduces reverberation times and helps improve room acoustics. Furthermore, the foam offers reliable thermal insulation, thereby helping to maintain stable temperature conditions in a wide variety of applications.
Basotect® UF+ also meets the highest safety requirements in terms of fire protection. It is flame-retardant, complies with international standards such as DIN 4102-B1 and UL 94 V-0, and achieves the highest safety standard HL3 in accordance with EN 45545-2 in railway technology. This makes it ideal not only for use in the transport sector, but also wherever maximum safety, low emissions and comfort are paramount.

Delivery form
The material is supplied as standard in the form of unedged sheets and can also be produced as a custom-fit cut-to-size piece according to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.
The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.
