Vibraflex® Standard hoses are a tried-and-tested solution for insulating pipes in heating, plumbing and refrigeration systems. Manufactured from high-quality, closed-cell elastomer foam, they combine several key properties in a single product: they offer excellent thermal insulation, reliably prevent the formation of condensation and thus protect pipes, fittings and systems in the long term against energy loss and corrosion damage.
The closed-cell structure of the material acts as a built-in vapour barrier. Unlike open-cell insulation materials, Vibraflex® hoses do not require additional protective layers to repel moisture. Even in environments with highly fluctuating temperatures or high humidity, the insulating effect remains stable. This not only reduces maintenance costs but also extends the service life of the entire installation.
With a thermal conductivity of only approx. 0.032–0.038 W/mK, Vibraflex® Standard hoses are among the most efficient insulation materials in their class. They help to significantly reduce energy losses, which not only lowers operating costs but also contributes to the sustainability of modern building services. They are equally suitable for hot water and heating pipes as well as for refrigeration and air conditioning systems, where the prevention of condensation plays a key role.
Another advantage is their ease of handling and installation. The hoses are available in various lengths, diameters and wall thicknesses, allowing them to be flexibly adapted to any project. They can be easily cut to size and slipped onto the relevant pipe dimensions, ensuring quick and precise installation. For more complex projects, they can also be combined with special cut-to-size pieces or bespoke components.
Vibraflex® also meets important safety standards. The elastomer foam is flame-retardant and complies with standard fire safety requirements, meaning it can also be used in technical installations, public buildings or commercial premises.
Delivery form
The material is supplied as standard in the form of trimmed tubing and can also be manufactured to exact specifications according to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.
The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.
