The Silphon®acoustic PET room dividers offer a modern and versatile solution when it comes to creating acoustic comfort zones, elegantly dividing spaces and simultaneously significantly reducing sound levels and reverberation times. Made from recycled PET material with a felt-like surface, they combine sustainability with high technical effectiveness and design freedom. Available in thicknesses of 12 or 24 mm and in a wide range of colours, the room dividers can be used effectively in both open-plan offices and workspaces as well as in reception and lounge areas.
They can be installed either freestanding in the room using floor stands or suspended from the ceiling using rope or wire suspension, allowing them to be flexibly adapted to existing spatial concepts. Their strengths are particularly evident in large-volume spaces, areas with hard surfaces such as glass or concrete, or where dynamic zoning is required, as this is precisely where the targeted separation of acoustic signature zones is most effective. Thanks to the open surface and defined material structure, incident sound waves are effectively diffracted, dispersed and absorbed (rather than reflecting uncontrollably), resulting in a quieter indoor environment, improved speech intelligibility and enhanced quality of work and stay.
Thanks to their low weight and ease of handling, these room dividers are suitable not only for new builds but also, in particular, for retrofitting projects. Furthermore, the material impresses with its resistance to moisture, heat and cold; lighting systems such as spotlights or light frames can be integrated without any problems.
