Silphon®acoustic PET – panels ceiling

Silphon®acoustic PET ceiling panels are a modern and sustainable acoustic solution for the targeted reduction of reverberation and disruptive reflections in interior spaces where both functionality and design are required. The material is based on recycled PET with a felt-like structure; it is lightweight, dimensionally stable and highly effective acoustically. With material thicknesses of 12 or 24 millimetres and a wide range of colours, as well as customised cut-to-size options, this system can be fine-tuned both aesthetically and technically. The ceiling panels are mounted as free-hanging elements beneath the ceiling, positioned above work, lounge or meeting areas, where they act as surface absorbers. Thanks to the open surface and the defined material density, incident sound is broken down internally and converted into heat, thereby noticeably reducing reverberation times and creating quieter, more pleasant room acoustics.

The minimal installation effort is one of the major advantages of this solution. The low weight facilitates installation and makes the system ideal for renovations, retrofits and refurbishments where the existing structural framework is not to be altered. At the same time, the textile appearance of the material ensures that the ceiling sails look discreet and high-quality without dominating the room’s architecture. Ceiling panels really come into their own in offices, open-plan areas, catering spaces, reception areas or training rooms, as it is precisely in these places that hard surfaces and large room volumes amplify sound propagation and negatively affect sound quality. This solution allows precisely such situations to be brought under control acoustically.
