novaphit® SSTC TA-L – high-quality graphite gasket in accordance with the TA Luft
novaphit® SSTC TA-L is a high-performance further development of the proven novaphit® SSTC gasket and has been specially developed for applications where maximum sealing performance and environmental requirements are paramount. It consists of high-quality expanded graphite with a purity of at least 99 per cent and is reinforced with an acid-resistant expanded metal insert made of chromium-nickel steel (1.4404, AISI 316 L).

novaphit® SSTC TA-L is a high-performance further development of the proven novaphit® SSTC gasket and has been specially developed for applications where maximum sealing performance and environmental requirements are paramount. It consists of high-quality expanded graphite with a purity of at least 99 per cent and is reinforced with an acid-resistant expanded metal insert made of chromium-nickel steel (1.4404, AISI 316 L).
A special internal impregnation further significantly reduces the seal’s leakage rate and ensures maximum tightness even under demanding operating conditions. novaphit® SSTC TA-L has been tested in accordance with the test criteria of VDI 2440 and VDI 2200 for the TA Luft and effortlessly meets the required tightness criterion of 10⁻⁴ mbar·l/(s·m) at 30 MPa – in practice, these values are often even lower. It is therefore considered a particularly environmentally friendly and safe seal in accordance with TA Luft.
Thanks to its outstanding performance, novaphit® SSTC TA-L enables the creation of sealed joints in accordance with the strict requirements of TA Luft and VDI 2290. Comprehensive sealing parameters in accordance with DIN EN 13555 also allow for precise design in accordance with DIN EN 1591-1.
With its high reliability, excellent media resistance and thermal stability, novaphit® SSTC TA-L is ideally suited as a universally applicable standard seal for a wide variety of industrial applications. It is also available with the innovative XP technology, which further optimises sealing performance and durability.
