The screw-on design enables efficient opening and closing, offering significant time savings, particularly during daily plant operation or regular maintenance work.
Manufactured from high-quality premium ether polyurethane (Pre-PUR®), the coupling boasts excellent abrasion resistance as well as high resistance to microbial attack and hydrolytic ageing. Furthermore, it is resistant to oil, petrol and many common chemicals, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments. The Pre-PUR® wall also offers high flexibility, good pressure stability and a long service life, even under intense mechanical stress.
The coupling is available in various dimensions and in special colours, allowing it to be optimally adapted to different plant requirements or colour-coding schemes. The wide temperature range from –40 °C to +90 °C ensures safe use in a wide variety of operating conditions, from deep-frozen process lines to moderately heated media flows. Naturally, the coupling is RoHS-compliant and can therefore be used without restriction in terms of environmental and material specifications.
For industries with particularly high hygiene requirements, a food-grade version is available that meets the requirements of EU Regulation 10/2011 and the updated Regulation 2015/174. This version is odourless and tasteless, making it ideally suited for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. In combination with suitable TRI-Clamp fittings in accordance with DIN 32676, a secure, easy-to-clean connection with minimal dead spaces is created – ideal for hygienic processes and CIP/SIP applications.
