The NORFLEX® PTFE 407 is a high-quality, food-grade PTFE hose that has been specially developed for demanding media applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Thanks to the use of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), the hose has an exceptionally high temperature resistance ranging from –150 °C to +200 °C, enabling it to be used reliably in both cryogenic applications and in processes involving extremely hot media.
PTFE is characterised by its outstanding chemical resistance. The hose is resistant to virtually all known chemicals, fats, oils, solvents, acids and alkalis. This makes the NORFLEX® PTFE 407 ideal for transport applications where absolute material purity and uncompromised product quality are crucial. Furthermore, it is completely odourless and tasteless, and thanks to its smooth inner surface, it is particularly easy to clean – a major advantage in hygiene-sensitive areas.
Thanks to its flexibility, the hose retains its shape and remains resilient even under extreme temperature fluctuations. It is suitable for a wide range of media, including liquids, process gases, vapours, hot air or aggressive fluids. Typical areas of application include dosing and filling systems, pharmaceutical production, laboratory environments, industrial gas supply as well as automated systems with high purity and temperature requirements.
