LASTO-STRIP LS-type deformation bearings – sliding and deformation bearings with load centring
LASTO-STRIP LS-type deformation bearings are linear bearings with a load-bearing core made of solid rubber (EPDM) and combine deformation absorption with excellent sliding properties. They have been specially developed to allow horizontal movements with low frictional forces whilst ensuring load-centred force transmission. This effectively reduces stresses caused by component deformation, shrinkage, creep or thermal expansion before they can manifest as damage to the structure.

LASTO-STRIP LS-type deformation bearings are linear bearings with a load-bearing core made of solid rubber (EPDM) and combine deformation absorption with excellent sliding properties. They have been specially developed to allow horizontal movements with low frictional forces whilst ensuring load-centred force transmission. This effectively reduces stresses caused by component deformation, shrinkage, creep or thermal expansion before they can manifest as damage to the structure.
Thanks to their sliding properties, these bearings can also accommodate large horizontal movements of up to ± 17.5 mm. These displacements, which can be considerable in some cases, occur primarily during the structural shell phase, when concrete components naturally deform and lose moisture. The special bearing design enables controlled movement absorption with minimal friction – all within a very compact installation space.
