LASTO-STRIP PTFE permanent sliding bearings, type TS, are high-quality building bearings designed to safely accommodate horizontal movements thanks to their consistently excellent sliding properties. They have been specially developed for applications where significant temperature-induced deformations occur over the long term and the sliding function must be maintained permanently – even if the building is constructed without thermal insulation and is therefore permanently exposed to the full temperature movements of the structural elements. This bearing type is therefore particularly recommended for structures with high demands on service life, operational reliability and permanently constant sliding characteristics.

LASTO-STRIP PTFE permanent sliding bearings, type TS, are high-quality building bearings designed to safely accommodate horizontal movements thanks to their consistently excellent sliding properties. They have been specially developed for applications where significant temperature-induced deformations occur over the long term and the sliding function must be maintained permanently – even if the building is constructed without thermal insulation and is therefore permanently exposed to the full temperature movements of the structural elements. This bearing type is therefore particularly recommended for structures with high demands on service life, operational reliability and permanently constant sliding characteristics.
The bearings are available in two variants—as TSp point bearings for point-shaped load application points and as TS line bearings for line-shaped load transfer. Both versions can accommodate horizontal movements of up to ±17.5 mm and ensure extremely low friction thanks to a PTFE-coated core, additional grease lubrication and a specially matched sliding film. Friction tests carried out by the MPA Stuttgart confirm a sliding friction coefficient of μ = 0.03. This ensures controlled, low-force movement throughout the entire service life of the structure.
