LASTO®STRIP SS is a sound-insulating, eccentric deformation bearing specifically developed for use in single-layer masonry systems such as Porotherm, Unipor and comparable masonry systems. As a high-performance deformation and sound insulation bearing, it acts directly in the floor joint, where its elastic core fulfils two crucial functions: the targeted absorption of movements resulting from settlement, component deformation or temperature changes, and the effective reduction of structure-borne sound waves propagating through the building structure.

Thanks to their linear bearing geometry, LASTO®STRIP SS deformation bearings can accommodate horizontal movements of ± 5.0 mm, based on a bearing height of 10 mm. This deformation capacity is maintained throughout the entire service life of the building, as the elastic core remains permanently dimensionally stable and yields in a controlled manner without compromising its sound insulation performance. The bearings are available in various load-bearing classes, enabling them to be adapted to a wide range of structural requirements and masonry constructions.

The integration of LASTO®STRIP SS significantly enhances building acoustics, particularly in multi-storey residential and commercial structures where impact sound, structure-borne sound and flanking sound transmission need to be effectively minimised. The combination of sound insulation and controlled deformation absorption not only enhances living comfort but also reduces cracking in the masonry, thereby supporting the building’s durability.

The bearings are easy to install and are therefore suitable for both new builds and refurbishments. Further technical data, available dimensions and ordering options can be found in our online shop. Should you have any questions or project-specific requirements, we would of course be happy to advise you personally.
