LASTO-FOL G plain bearings – cost-effective, easy-to-use building bearings
LASTO-FOL G plain bearings are economical, easy-to-install building bearings without additional padding. They consist of two polystyrene films loosely stacked on top of one another, which have very low friction due to their material properties. In addition, the films are treated with silicone grease on the inside – this achieves particularly low friction, enabling controlled horizontal movements with minimal resistance.

LASTO-FOL G sliding bearings are cost-effective, easy-to-install structural bearings without additional padding. They consist of two polystyrene films loosely stacked on top of one another, which are very low-friction due to their material properties. Additionally, the films are treated with silicone grease on the inside – this achieves particularly low friction, enabling controlled horizontal movements with minimal resistance.
For very level bearing surfaces, the simple double-film version (Type FOL G) is sufficient. Where minor unevenness needs to be compensated for, the variant with a 2 mm elastomer layer (Type FOL GE) is used. The bearings are suitable wherever load-bearing components need to be separated from one another in a sliding manner – but without torsion. Typical applications include concrete slabs resting on walls or steel girders, or which need to be structurally decoupled from foundations.
This allows horizontal movements between building structures with very low friction coefficients, thereby enabling movements to be precisely controlled and preventing excessive stress build-up effectively.
