The ‘Silphon® Acoustic Cube Basotect® B white’ is a high-performance acoustic solution made from open-cell melamine resin foam (Basotect® B in white) with a density of approximately 9 kg/m³, resulting in a very lightweight yet highly effective absorption component. The standard dimensions are 200 × 350 × 350 mm; thanks to our “Swiss-made” manufacturing, we can also produce custom-made units to your specifications on request.
Thanks to its technical material properties, this acoustic panel is designed to be used in various types of rooms, from office spaces, reception and conference rooms to production or testing rooms. The open-cell foam structure effectively absorbs sound waves, distributes them within the material and converts them into heat, resulting in a significant reduction in reverberation times as well as improved speech intelligibility and room acoustics.
Furthermore, Basotect® B white foam meets the fire safety requirements of DIN 4102 B1 (flame-retardant) and BKZ 5.2 – making it suitable for use in publicly accessible buildings, commercial premises or technical areas. Its ease of assembly and low weight streamline installation—whether as a ceiling or wall absorber using a suspension system or directly glued/screwed in place. The block can thus be deployed precisely where surfaces reflect sound and targeted acoustic optimization is required.
