The blue colour serves as a distinguishing feature: should unintended contamination occur due to defects in food-processing machinery, the plastic parts can be identified immediately thanks to their striking colour.

ZELLAMID® 900 blue is a blue grade of POM-C that has been specially developed for the food industry. The blue colour serves as a distinguishing feature: should unintended contamination occur due to faults in food-processing machinery, the plastic parts can be identified immediately thanks to their striking colour.

POM-C is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with a low coefficient of friction, good wear resistance and very low water absorption. This ensures excellent dimensional stability even in damp environments. Its high mechanical strength and good sliding properties make ZELLAMID® 900 blue the ideal choice for components in food processing.

ZELLAMID® 900 is approved for food contact (BfR, FDA) and thus meets the requirements of the food and drink industry. Typical applications include bearings, gears, guide rollers, pump parts and other functional components in food processing.
