The white CR rubber sheet in food-grade quality is specially designed for applications involving contact with food. Its light colour allows for easy visual inspection of cleanliness and contamination, making it the preferred choice in environments with high hygiene standards – such as in food and beverage processing, the packaging industry, or as seals and supports on equipment that comes into contact with food. The material is designed in accordance with food-contact criteria; we can provide the relevant certificate of conformity on request.

With a hardness of 65 ± 5 Shore A, the sheet offers a balanced combination of elasticity and dimensional stability. It achieves a minimum tensile strength of 50 kg/cm² (approximately 4.9 MPa) with an elongation at break of at least 250 % and a compression set of no more than 40 %. Particularly noteworthy is the high tear resistance of 35 kg/cm – a significantly better figure than that of most standard rubber sheets, ensuring robust mechanical resilience in everyday use.

Its resistance profile is also impressive: the sheet is highly resistant to oils as well as diluted acids and alkalis, and is therefore well equipped to withstand many cleaning agents and disinfectants – an important advantage in facilities with regular cleaning cycles. It offers moderate resistance to concentrated acids, alkalis and solvents. The operating temperature range extends from –30 °C to +120 °C, thereby covering hot cleaning and steam applications within the usual parameters.

With a density of 1.45 g/cm³ and available in a white finish, the food-grade CR sheet can be cut to size, die-cut and fabricated – available by the metre and as bespoke cut-to-size sheets for seals, linings and customised solutions in the food industry.
