NBR/SBR rubber sheet, medium (70 Shore A)
NBR rubber sheet, 70 Shore A – moderately oil-resistant and dimensionally stable
The NBR rubber sheet with a Shore A hardness of 70 is a dimensionally stable, nitrile rubber-based product designed for technical applications involving occasional contact with oils and greases. Its higher hardness ensures good compressive strength, making it suitable for use as a seal, support or protective lining in mechanical and plant engineering, as well as in general workshop applications.

The NBR rubber sheet with 70 Shore A is a dimensionally stable quality based on nitrile rubber for technical applications with occasional contact with oils and greases. Its higher hardness ensures good compressive strength and makes it suitable as a seal, support or protective lining in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in general workshop applications.
In terms of oil resistance, this quality is classified as mid-range: it is conditionally oil-resistant and therefore suitable for occasional or short-term oil and grease contact, but not for continuous use in heavily oil-contaminated environments. For applications requiring permanent resistance to oil and fuel, we recommend our higher-grade NBR quality. Compared to diluted acids and alkalis, the sheet is highly resistant; compared to concentrated acids, alkalis and solvents as well as to ozone, it is not designed or only designed to a limited extent. The operating temperature range extends from –30 °C to +90 °C.
Mechanically, the sheet offers a minimum tensile strength of 50 kg/cm² (around 4.9 MPa), a tear elongation of at least 250 %, a compression set of a maximum of 40 % and a tear strength of 20 kg/cm. After heat ageing at 70 °C, the properties remain stable within defined tolerances. The sheet is smooth on both sides.
With a density of 1.45 g/cm³ and black finish, the sheet can be cut to size, die-cut and fabricated – available by the metre and as made-to-measure cut pieces.
