Vibra®Para Black is a rubber sheet made from high-quality natural rubber (NR) and designed for applications subject to high mechanical stress. Natural rubber is regarded as the most elastic and abrasion-resistant of all common elastomers – in the slightly harder variant of this grade, this resilience is combined with good dimensional stability.

The mechanical properties are impressive: with a high tensile strength of 125 kg/cm² (approximately 12.3 MPa), an elongation at break of at least 400 % and very good abrasion resistance (abrasion max. 120 mm³ at 10 N), the sheet is ideally suited for wear protection, hopper and container linings, impact protection, conveyor belt coverings and applications subject to high mechanical stress. A low compression set of a maximum of 30 % and a tear strength of 30 kg/cm further ensure reliable recovery and robustness in continuous use. With a hardness of 60 ± 5 Shore A, the sheet offers greater dimensional stability and compressive strength than the softer Vibra®Para at 45 Shore A.

The choice of material depends crucially on the operating environment: natural rubber is designed to withstand mechanical stress and is not suitable for contact with oils, greases, acids, alkalis or solvents; its resistance to ozone and weathering is also limited. The sheet is therefore particularly suitable for dry, mechanically stressed indoor applications. The operating temperature range is from –25 °C to +70 °C.

With a low density of 1.17 g/cm³ and a black finish, Vibra®Para Black can be cut to size, die-cut and fabricated – available by the metre and as bespoke cut-to-size sheets for abrasive and mechanically demanding wear protection and cushioning applications.
