Vibra® PVC strips are made from flexible, transparent soft PVC and come in a ready-to-use strip form for slat and strip curtains. They effectively separate rooms and areas without obstructing passage: people and vehicles can pass through the strips easily, whilst they then close automatically.
This helps maintain temperature zones whilst keeping out draughts, noise, dust and insects. Typical applications include passageways and gates in cold stores, warehouses, production and logistics areas, as well as for machine and workstation protection.
The transparency of the material allows for a clear view and lets light through, thereby enhancing safety in heavily used passageways. The soft PVC remains flexible and supple even at low temperatures, exhibits good temperature resistance in both cold and warmer conditions, and offers excellent resistance to UV radiation, ozone and weathering. The operating temperature range is from –20 °C to +50 °C.
Mechanically, the strips have a tensile strength of 17 MPa and an elongation at break of 360 % at a hardness of 75 ± 5 Shore A. With a density of 1,22 g/cm³, Vibra® PVC strips are available in various widths and thicknesses and can be cut to size to fit your openings.
