CR/SBR rubber sheet, Basic (70 Shore A)
Chloroprene rubber sheet 70 Shore A – firm and dimensionally stable
The chloroprene rubber sheet with a hardness of 70 Shore A is a robust standard grade for general technical applications. Its higher hardness ensures excellent dimensional stability and makes it the right choice when a resilient, pressure-resistant base is required rather than a soft, conforming surface – for example, as a support, intermediate layer or protective coating in mechanical and plant engineering. Both sides of the sheet are smooth, resulting in a clean contact surface and a uniform appearance.

The 70 Shore A chloroprene rubber sheet is a robust standard grade for general technical applications.
Mechanically, the sheet offers a minimum tensile strength of 50 kg/cm² (approximately 4.9 MPa) with an elongation at break of at least 225 %, as well as a tear strength of 18 kg/cm. The compression set is a maximum of 50 % (70 °C, 24 h, 25 % deformation) – values which characterise this grade for general, static applications, but distinguish it from premium sheets designed for higher loads.
In terms of resistance, the sheet offers good resistance to dilute acids and alkalis, moderate resistance to ozone, oils and concentrated acids; it is not designed for use with solvents. The operating temperature range is from –30 °C to +90 °C. For applications involving higher temperatures, oil exposure or weathering, we recommend our premium chloroprene grade (65 Shore A).
With a density of 1,45 g/cm³ and a smooth black finish on both sides, the sheet is easy to punch, cut and process – available by the metre and as bespoke cut-to-size sheets.
