The CR rubber sheet with nylon reinforcement is a fabric-reinforced chloroprene sheet designed for large-area applications subject to high mechanical stress. The embedded nylon fabric reinforcement—single- or double-layered depending on the sheet thickness—provides significantly greater dimensional stability than unreinforced rubber sheets: It prevents elongation or warping under tension, increases the tear resistance of the composite and facilitates the installation of large areas as sheet material. Typical areas of application include industrial pads and covers, protective linings, and applications in the offshore and industrial sectors.

The CR rubber sheet with nylon reinforcement is a fabric-reinforced chloroprene sheet designed for large-area applications subject to high mechanical stress. The embedded nylon fabric reinforcement – single- or double-layered depending on the sheet thickness – provides significantly greater dimensional stability than unreinforced rubber sheets: It prevents elongation or warping under tension, increases the tear resistance of the composite and facilitates the installation of large areas as sheet material. Typical areas of application include industrial pads and covers, protective linings, and applications in the offshore and industrial sectors.
The chloroprene rubber itself offers balanced mechanical properties with a hardness of 70 ± 5 Shore A, a tensile strength of 4 MPa and an elongation at break of 200 %. It also offers moderate resistance to ozone and oils, as well as to diluted acids and alkalis. The material is not designed for prolonged contact with concentrated acids, alkalis or solvents. The operating temperature range is from –30 °C to +90 °C.
The sheet is available in thicknesses from 1.5 to 10 mm, in widths of 1,200 and 1,400 mm and as roll stock with standard lengths of up to 10,000 mm (thinner versions also up to 15,000 mm). Thinner sheets are manufactured with a single reinforcement layer, whilst thicker ones have two – ensuring a balanced ratio of rubber to reinforcement across all thicknesses.
With a density of 1.45 g/cm³ and a black finish, the fabric-reinforced CR sheet can be cut to size and fabricated and is particularly suitable for large-scale applications where dimensional stability and ease of installation are key.
