The NBR/PVC rubber sheet combines the strengths of two materials: nitrile rubber (NBR) provides excellent resistance to oils, greases and fuels, whilst the PVC content significantly improves ozone and weather resistance compared to pure NBR. This makes the sheet particularly suitable for oil-contaminated technical applications where a certain degree of weather resistance is also required – for example, as a seal, support or protective covering in workshops, in mechanical and plant engineering, or in vehicle and equipment manufacturing.

Oil resistance is the standout feature of this grade: with very low volume swelling in oil (–2 to +13 %) , it demonstrates excellent resistance to mineral oils, greases and fuels. In addition, it offers good resistance to ozone as well as to diluted acids and alkalis. The material is not designed for use with concentrated acids and alkalis, and offers only limited resistance to solvents. The operating temperature range extends from –30 °C to +110 °C.

Mechanically, the sheet impresses with a hardness of 65 ± 5 Shore A, a minimum tensile strength of 65 kg/cm² (approximately 6.4 MPa), an elongation at break of at least 320 %, a compression set of no more than 40 % and a high tear strength of 30 kg/cm, which ensures robust mechanical performance. Following heat ageing at 70 °C, the properties remain stable within tight tolerances. The sheet has a smooth finish on both sides.

With a density of 1.45 g/cm³ and in its green version, the NBR/PVC rubber sheet can be cut to size, punched and fabricated – available by the metre and as bespoke cut-to-size sheets for oil- and fuel-resistant sealing and support applications.
