The NBR rubber sheet with a Shore A hardness of 80 is the hard, particularly dimensionally stable grade in our nitrile rubber range and consists of 100% NBR polymer. Its high hardness makes it exceptionally pressure-resistant and durable, making it ideal for applications subject to high mechanical stress and exposure to oil – for example, as a heavy-duty seal, support or wear protection in mechanical and plant engineering, vehicle manufacturing and hydraulics.

The NBR rubber sheet with 80 Shore A is the hard, particularly dimensionally stable grade in our nitrile rubber range and consists of 100 % NBR polymer. Its high hardness makes it exceptionally pressure-resistant and durable, making it ideal for applications subject to high mechanical stress and exposure to oil – for example, as a heavy-duty seal, support or wear protection in mechanical and plant engineering, vehicle manufacturing and hydraulics.
Its oil resistance is outstanding: with very low volume swelling (–2 to +15 %), the sheet offers excellent resistance to mineral oils, greases and fuels, and is also highly resistant to solvents as well as diluted acids and alkalis. It is not designed for use with concentrated acids and alkalis; pure NBR has only limited resistance to ozone and weathering, which is why the sheet is particularly suitable for indoor technical and machinery applications. The operating temperature range is from –30 °C to +110 °C.
Mechanically, the sheet delivers with a minimum tensile strength of 100 kg/cm² (approximately 9.8 MPa), an elongation at break of at least 350 %, a low compression set of no more than 30 % and a tear strength of 25 kg/cm. Following heat ageing at 70 °C, the properties remain stable within tight tolerances.
With a density of 1.35 g/cm³ and a black finish, the hard NBR rubber sheet can be cut to size, punched and fabricated – available by the metre and as bespoke cut-to-size sheets for high-stress, oil-resistant sealing and support applications.
