The NBR rubber sheet with fabric reinforcement is a textile-reinforced, industrial-grade product based on nitrile rubber, designed for large-area applications subject to mechanical stress and in contact with oil and grease. The embedded fabric reinforcement—available in single or double layers depending on the sheet thickness—gives the sheet significantly greater dimensional stability than rubber sheets without reinforcement: It prevents elongation or warping under tension, increases the tear resistance of the composite and facilitates the installation of large areas as sheet material. Typical areas of application include the chemical industry, garages and workshops, as well as industrial surfacing, covers and protective linings.

The NBR rubber sheet with fabric reinforcement is a textile-reinforced, industrial-grade product based on nitrile rubber, designed for large-area applications subject to mechanical stress and in contact with oil and grease. The embedded fabric reinforcement – either single- or double-layered depending on the sheet thickness – gives the sheet significantly greater dimensional stability than rubber sheets without reinforcement: It prevents elongation or warping under tension, increases the tear resistance of the composite and facilitates the installation of large areas as sheet material. Typical areas of application include the chemical industry, garages and workshops, as well as industrial surfacing, covers and protective linings.
Thanks to its nitrile rubber content, the sheet offers resistance to oils and greases and is therefore suitable for oil-contaminated working environments. For applications subject to continuous heavy oil exposure, we recommend our pure NBR grade, which offers higher oil resistance and strength. The operating temperature range is from –30 °C to +90 °C.
Mechanically, the material offers a minimum tensile strength of 4 MPa (approximately 40 kg/cm²) with an elongation at break of at least 200 %. The sheet has a smooth finish on both sides, resulting in a clean surface and a uniform appearance.
With a density of 1.45 g/cm³ and a black finish, the fabric-reinforced NBR sheet can be cut to size and fabricated – available as sheets and rolls, as well as in bespoke cuts. Thinner sheets are constructed with a single layer of reinforcement, whilst thicker ones have two layers, ensuring that the ratio of rubber to reinforcement remains balanced across all thicknesses.
