Manufactured from the open-cell melamine resin foam Basotect® B in white, this system combines a very low weight with high absorption performance and excellent fire safety properties. Its octagonal geometry not only achieves efficient sound absorption across a broad frequency spectrum but also provides a modern design solution that blends seamlessly into contemporary interior concepts.
In the standard version, the product measures approx. 120 mm × 120 mm × 1000 mm; custom-made versions are, of course, available. This slim profile allows for flexible installation as a free-hanging ceiling system or targeted placement along wall and ceiling lines. The light colour scheme supports a neutral and light-optimised integration into offices, canteens, halls, conference rooms or reception areas.
In terms of materials, the solution impresses with several key features: Basotect® B foam is flame-retardant in accordance with DIN 4102 B1 and has a BKZ 5.2 classification, making it particularly suitable for public or commercial buildings with high safety requirements. Thanks to its open-cell structure, incident sound waves are reflected and scattered multiple times within the material and converted into heat, thereby significantly reducing reverberation times and noticeably improving the acoustic environment in the room.
In practical use, the product impresses with its ease of installation and versatility: the low profile and light weight facilitate installation – using wire or rope suspension, hook or clip fastenings – even in existing installations or refurbishment projects. Thanks to its octagonal shape and the high-quality finish of the foam elements, attractive interior designs can be achieved without compromising on performance. The baffle really comes into its own in rooms with high ceilings, reflective surfaces or high-traffic areas: sound is specifically ‘captured’, reflections are reduced and a pleasant acoustic atmosphere is created.
