Basotect® G+ pyramid foam – highly effective sound absorber with a pyramid structure
The pyramid foam is based on the light grey melamine resin foam Basotect® G+ and features a distinctive pyramid-shaped surface that significantly increases the surface area available for sound absorption. This design extends the sound paths within the material and ensures that sound waves are reflected multiple times and ultimately effectively dampened within the open cell structure. As a result, the material reduces noise across a broad frequency range—particularly in the mid to high frequency range—and noticeably creates a quieter acoustic environment.

The pyramid foam is based on the light grey melamine resin foam Basotect® G+ and features a distinctive pyramid-shaped surface that significantly increases the surface area available for sound absorption. The material thus reduces noise across a broad frequency range – particularly in the mid to high frequencies – and noticeably creates a quieter acoustic environment.
With its very low weight of just around 9 kg/m³, the foam is easy to handle and install—ideal for suspended ceilings, wall cladding, or free-hanging acoustic elements.
Thanks to its light grey colour, the pyramid foam has a subtle and modern appearance and can be easily integrated into various interior designs. It is frequently used in studios, rehearsal rooms, offices and event spaces, but is equally suitable for technical applications such as machine casings or hall insulation.

Delivery form
The material is supplied as standard in trimmed sheet form and can also be produced as a custom-fit cut to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.
The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.
