Manufactured from high-quality PET and co-polyester staple fibres that are compacted using a thermal process, the mat requires no binders or adhesives whatsoever. The result is a particularly durable, dimensionally stable and tear-resistant material that neither releases dust nor loses stability, even under long-term stress.
A standout feature of the Fiberform 62 T is its versatility: it combines the function of highly efficient sound insulation with reliable thermal insulation. With a thermal conductivity of around 0.037 W/mK, it makes a noticeable contribution to energy efficiency whilst simultaneously improving room acoustics thanks to its open-cell fibre structure. The mat really comes into its own in the mid-frequency range, which is crucial for speech intelligibility and general well-being, creating a pleasant and calm atmosphere.
Fiberform 62 T also sets new standards in terms of safety: it meets high fire safety standards without the need for additional flame retardants. This means that the mat is flame-retardant, produces only minimal smoke and does not form burning droplets. Installation is incredibly simple: Fiberform 62 T is available in various versions, including an aluminium-coated surface for increased thermal reflection or a practical self-adhesive backing for quick, clean installation. It is particularly popular for use in ceiling cavities, where it not only reduces reverberation but also provides noticeable thermal optimisation. It is also used in vehicles, machine casings, technical installations or enclosures for power units and compressors, where acoustic and thermal requirements must be met simultaneously.
Another advantage lies in its environmental friendliness: as the mat is manufactured without adhesives, it is emission-free, recyclable and harmless to health. It does not emit any unpleasant odours and contains no harmful substances such as formaldehyde, PCP or heavy metals. Delivery form
The material is supplied as standard in trimmed sheet form and can also be produced as a custom-fit cut to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.
The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.
