The functional strength of wool felt lies in its natural structure: wool possesses a pronounced ability to absorb sound, regulate humidity and offers high resistance to ageing and temperature – properties that are increasingly in demand in modern architectural and functional spaces. Thanks to the fine felt structure, incident sound waves are diffracted and attenuated within the fibre structure, which helps to reduce reverberation times and improve the acoustic environment – particularly in open-plan layouts, commercial buildings or sophisticated residential spaces.
Our ‘Silphon®felt 100’ material also offers a high degree of design freedom: whether as large-scale panels or custom-cut pieces, in various colours or as a design element that enhances the room’s atmosphere.
Installation is remarkably simple and efficient: the material can be bonded directly or fitted with rear ventilation, allowing both the acoustic performance and the aesthetic appearance to be shown to their best advantage. Thanks to its low installation height and flexible adaptability, “Silphon®felt 100” is also ideal for retrofitting existing spaces. At the same time, the high-quality workmanship ensures long-lasting use without any loss of quality or effectiveness—an important criterion for both commercial investments and private applications alike.
Delivery form
The material is supplied as standard in the form of unedged sheets and can also be produced as a custom-fit cut-to-size piece according to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.
The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.
