Silphon® Yellow-Foam FR – flame-retardant PUR foam

Silphon® Yellow-Foam FR is a high-performance, open-cell polyurethane foam specially developed for applications where safety, acoustics and versatility are equally important. With a density of around 40 kg/m³, Yellow-Foam FR is significantly more robust than many lighter acoustic foams. It nevertheless remains flexible and can be easily cut, shaped and installed. Thanks to its open-cell structure, it offers good sound-absorbing properties, particularly in the mid-frequency range, where reverberation and background noise are significantly reduced. It thus contributes both to improving room acoustics and to noise reduction in technical applications.

Delivery form

The material is supplied as standard in the form of unedged sheets and can also be produced as a custom-fit cut-to-size piece according to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.

The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.
