The Vibra®fiber 22 T is a modern insulation and acoustic solution specifically developed for use in ceiling systems, ceiling voids and room acoustics projects. Manufactured from PET and co-polyester fibres, which are consolidated using a thermal process without chemical binders, this mat offers a range of benefits that make it particularly durable, stable and, at the same time, harmless to health. By avoiding the use of adhesives or additives, the material remains emission-free, odourless and virtually dust-free – an important consideration for use in indoor spaces where air quality and hygiene play a central role.

The fibre mat impresses with its combination of efficient sound absorption and solid thermal insulation. Thanks to its open-pored structure, it reliably absorbs sound waves, reduces reverberation times and thus improves speech intelligibility in rooms. It demonstrates its full acoustic effectiveness particularly in the mid-frequency range, which is especially relevant for offices, conference rooms, educational establishments or living areas. At the same time, a thermal conductivity of around 0.037 W/mK ensures that the mat also excels as thermal insulation and minimises energy loss.

Another highlight is the optional self-adhesive backing, which enables quick, clean and secure installation. This allows the panels to be fitted directly onto smooth surfaces or in ceiling cavities without the need for additional tools or complex fixing systems. Both surfaces are smooth, which not only facilitates installation but also simplifies integration into existing systems.

Vibra®fiber 22 T also meets high safety standards. It is flame-retardant and complies with stringent fire safety standards, all without the use of additional flame retardants. This makes it suitable for applications where a high level of safety is required – whether in commercial settings, public facilities or sensitive technical applications.

The range of applications is diverse: in ceiling systems and cavities, the mat significantly improves room acoustics and creates a more pleasant atmosphere. In engineering and the HVAC sector (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), it can be used for soundproofing air ducts whilst simultaneously reducing heat loss. It also proves to be an efficient solution in the field of residential and building insulation when it comes to reducing noise and making rooms more energy-efficient.

Delivery form

The material is supplied as standard in trimmed sheet form and can also be produced as a custom-fit cut to individual dimensions on request. Precise machining and short lead times enable easy integration into a wide variety of applications.

The sheets are supplied in film packaging and must be stored in a dry place. Prolonged exposure to direct UV light must be avoided.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

A: Vibra®fiber 22 T has a lower weight per unit area (22 T = 22 kg/m²) and is lighter than Fiberform 62 T. This makes it particularly suitable for weight-optimised applications in vehicle construction and lightweight engineering. Fiberform 62 T is denser and heavier, which has a positive effect on sound insulation (not just absorption).
A: The material is frequently used in vehicle construction, rail vehicle construction and interior fittings, where a good balance between weight and acoustic performance is required. It is also suitable as an underlay and as a filling material in door panels and floor structures.
A: Certain variants of Vibra®fiber are certified to EN 45545 for rail vehicle construction. The exact certificates are documented in the product data sheets. For projects with railway requirements, we recommend checking the specific certificates in advance or contacting us directly.
A: Yes. The material is available in sheets and can be cut to size according to individual specifications on request. For special projects involving complex geometries, we recommend submitting an enquiry accompanied by a technical drawing.
