VIBRAX-STAIR stair bearings – structure-borne sound insulation for concrete and in-situ concrete stairs
VIBRAX-STAIR stair bearings are used for the structure-borne sound insulation of stairs made of in-situ concrete and precast concrete elements, offering a ready-to-install, technically optimised solution for all standard support configurations and stair weights. The bearings transfer horizontal and vertical forces precisely into the landing, whilst maintaining acoustic decoupling in the support area.

VIBRAX-STAIR stair supports are used for the structure-borne sound insulation of stairs made of in-situ concrete and precast concrete elements, offering a ready-to-install, technically optimised solution for all standard support configurations and stair weights. The supports transfer horizontal and vertical forces precisely into the landing, whilst maintaining acoustic decoupling in the support area.
The system includes the sound-insulating locking pin VIBRAX-STAIRTOP SL as well as the permanently elastic foams LASTO-STRIP PE and VIBRAX-ROPE round profiles. Impact sound – a specific form of structure-borne sound – frequently causes disruptive noise in stairwells of residential and commercial buildings. The VIBRAX-STAIR stair bearing therefore serves as an effective impact sound-insulating support between the stair tread and the landing, thereby efficiently reducing unwanted sound transmission.
With the insulation core used, an insulation effect of up to 99% or an impact sound improvement index of up to 40 dB is achieved at a frequency of 100 Hz (in accordance with SIA 181:2006). Further technical details, system components and design variants can be found in our online shop.
