novaflon® 100 is a high-quality sealing material based on structured, modified PTFE filled with micro-hollow glass spheres. This combination of materials gives the seal exceptionally high chemical resistance across the entire pH range, as well as excellent adaptability to uneven or sensitive sealing surfaces.
Thanks to the optimised integration of the filler, novaflon® 100 exhibits very low porosity and an extremely low leakage rate even at low contact pressure. The material is particularly suitable for use in acidic environments at temperatures from 85 °C and, thanks to its high compressibility, ensures a reliable seal even on irregular or slightly damaged flange surfaces.
Its special structure also allows it to be used with GRP flanges as well as enamelled pipe and apparatus flanges, where conventional gaskets often fail. The optimised creep behaviour and low thermal set ensure excellent pressure resistance and long-term sealing performance – even under varying operating conditions.
novaflon® 100 is easy to process, can be manufactured using all standard methods and, thanks to its excellent non-stick properties, can be removed easily and without leaving any residue. It thus offers a durable, universal and maintenance-friendly sealing solution for demanding chemical and thermal applications.
