novaform® SK – the exhaust gas seal for extreme mechanical stresses
novaform® SK has been specially developed for applications where seals must withstand high temperatures, high pressure loads and intense mechanical forces. The innovative material combination consists of high-quality aramid fibres, functional fillers and a low proportion of binder, embedded in a robust soft matrix. This is further reinforced by a solid wire mesh insert in a twill weave (material 1.0314, galvanised), which gives the material outstanding stability and strength.

novaform® SK has been specially developed for applications where seals must withstand high temperatures, high pressure loads and intense mechanical forces. The innovative material combination consists of high-quality aramid fibres, functional fillers and a low proportion of binder, embedded in a robust soft matrix. This is further reinforced by a solid wire mesh insert in a twill weave (material 1.0314, galvanised), which gives the material outstanding stability and strength.
Thanks to this construction, novaform® SK offers outstanding temperature resistance up to 600 °C, very high tensile strength and excellent compressive strength. The gasket remains reliably dimensionally stable even under extreme operating conditions and ensures a secure seal over the long term. The integrated wire mesh insert also ensures a defined springback behaviour, which maintains the sealing effect even after prolonged use.
Optional, novaform® SK can be fitted with a metallic inner flange to further improve protection of the sealing edge. This makes this high-performance gasket the ideal choice for demanding exhaust and high-temperature applications – available in standard sheet format or as a precisely cut gasket.
