novaphit® SSTC is the tried-and-tested classic of the novaphit® family and has proven itself millions of times over in countless industrial applications. The material consists of high-quality, expanded graphite with a purity of at least 99 per cent and impresses with its excellent media resistance as well as maximum safety margins under thermal and mechanical load cycles. For reinforcement, an acid-resistant expanded metal insert made of stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316 L) is used, whose three-dimensional structure is directly involved in the sealing process. This significantly improves leakage behaviour and achieves a uniform, stable sealing effect.

The combination of flexible graphite and robust metal reinforcement ensures optimal distribution of surface pressure and gives the material resilient properties that guarantee a permanently tight seal even under fluctuating temperatures and pressures. Even with narrow sealing webs, novaphit® SSTC retains its dimensional stability, is easy to handle and tolerates minor installation errors – even if the material is accidentally creased.

These properties make novaphit® SSTC suitable as a universal standard gasket for virtually all industrial applications. It enables efficient inventory management, minimises the risk of mix-ups and, at the same time, offers maximum operational reliability. On request, the material is also available with innovative XP technology, which further improves sealing performance and stability.
