TESNIT® BA-U is a high-quality high-pressure sealing sheet material based on aramid fibres and an NBR rubber binder. The sheets combine high mechanical strength with excellent chemical and thermal resistance, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial sealing applications—particularly wherever reliable joint sealing, media resistance, and temperature resistance are required.
TESNIT® BA-U is suitable for water, steam, oils, fuels and numerous technical media, and meets a wide range of industry-specific certifications such as BAM, CRS, DIN-DVGW (DIN 3535/6), DVGW W270, Germanischer Lloyd, HTB (DVGW VP 401), KTW, SVGW, TA-LUFT (VDI 2440) and WRAS/WQc. These approvals enable safe use in, amongst other things, hot and cold water systems, plant and pipeline construction, apparatus engineering, and energy and utility installations.
Thanks to their robust fibre structure, TESNIT® BA-U sealing sheets achieve particularly high compressive strength and ensure a permanently tight seal even at higher operating temperatures. The material can be machined with precision and is ideally suited for both series production and for custom contours or CNC-cut sealing geometries.
