Double-U bearings are among the most versatile and efficient rubber-metal elements for isolating vibrations and shocks. Their characteristic U-shaped design, which is mirrored and duplicated, gives them special elastic properties, ensuring that the stiffnesses in the load directions X, Y and Z differ in a targeted manner. This enables precise adaptation to a wide variety of applications where vibrations must be isolated not just in one, but in several axes.
The elastic properties of the double-U mounts ensure that vibrations are effectively damped and shocks reliably absorbed. This protects machines, units and sensitive components from damaging vibrations. At the same time, the service life of the equipment is extended and the noise level is significantly reduced – a decisive advantage in demanding technical environments.
Double-U bearings are available in four sizes and can be manufactured using three different rubber compounds, each defined by its Shore hardness. Depending on the version, they are suitable for light to medium loads and can absorb forces of up to 2000 N per bearing. This versatility allows them to be used across a wide range of technical sectors, such as mechanical engineering, conveyor technology, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, pumps, compressors, electrical equipment and precision mechanical components.
Thanks to their ingenious design, double-U bearings offer an excellent combination of flexibility, stability and damping capacity.
