Press-fitted or vulcanised rubber-metal bushings are highly functional design elements used wherever components need to be mounted elastically, vibrations reduced and movements transmitted in a controlled manner. They consist of an inner and an outer precision sleeve, which are bonded together by a firmly adhering elastomer layer. This elastic intermediate layer is either traditionally vulcanized or subsequently pressed in – both variants ensure a permanent, backlash-free bond between metal and rubber.

Thanks to their special design, rubber-metal bushings can effectively dampen or isolate both radial and axial vibrations, thereby contributing significantly to the longevity and noise reduction of technical systems. In addition, they can accommodate torsional movements and allow gimbal-type deflections without the need for lubrication. As a result, they represent a maintenance-free alternative to conventional plain bearings and reliably prevent fretting corrosion, wear or an undesirable increase in bearing play.

Typical applications can be found in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, power units, pumps, equipment, or wherever vibrations need to be controlled without completely restricting freedom of movement. Thanks to the elastic decoupling, the transmission of structure-borne noise is also significantly reduced, which minimises operating noise and improves the overall performance of systems.

Our online shop offers a wide selection of bushings in various sizes, Shore hardnesses and designs. Whether you require standard dimensions or have specific requirements – you can find the right solution in just a few clicks. For bespoke projects or custom sizes, we would be happy to advise you personally and provide a tailor-made quote!
