Clamp-type torsion elements are specially designed to mount shaft ends elastically, securely and in a space-saving manner on flat surfaces. They are among the most versatile rubber-metal elements and are used wherever movement in multiple axes is permitted or vibrations need to be specifically reduced. Thanks to their special design, they allow for axial, radial, torsional and gimbal movements – each with its own defined spring stiffness. This enables the element to fulfil several requirements simultaneously: it dampens vibrations, guides components and compensates for unavoidable movements within the system.

The special geometry of the bracket torsion elements ensures that movements are performed smoothly and in a controlled manner without overloading rigid bearing points. The element really comes into its own particularly with varying loads, sensitive components or dynamic excitations. It functions as a spring-loaded articulated bearing and is therefore ideally suited to designs where conventional joints would wear out or regular lubrication would be necessary. As there are no sliding surfaces, the element operates completely maintenance-free – a decisive advantage for hard-to-access installation locations or for systems that must function reliably over many years.

Typical applications include mechanical and plant engineering, conveyor technology, vehicles, powertrains, or anywhere where shafts, levers or smaller units need to be mounted or guided with low vibration. The damping properties protect both the mounted component and the surrounding structure, and noticeably improve running performance. At the same time, the element reduces structure-borne noise, prevents resonance and thus contributes to quieter and longer-lasting operation of the entire assembly.

Another advantage is the straightforward installation: the U-shaped torsion elements can be screwed on quickly and securely and require no additional guide parts. Thanks to their compact design, they can be used even in tight installation spaces without restricting freedom of movement.
